Dornan are recruiting for an Accounts Payable Specialist to be based in our Headquarters in Little Island. A hybrid model for remote working is available.
The Accounts Payable Specialist will be a key member of the Finance Department to contribute towards the accurate and timely payment of suppliers and creditors throughout Ireland, UK and Europe.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all AP duties are carried out in accordance with the specific requirements of the company
- Accuracy of Invoicing - Processing invoices in an accurate and efficient manner
- Supporting Documentation & Payments - Responsible that only invoices with the correct documentation are processed
- Control Procedures for Payments - Ensuring all invoices are paid to all vendors within their credit terms
- Perform and Complete Full Monthly Vendor Statement Reconciliations
- Perform and Complete Credit Requests with Vendors
- Liaise with Site Personnel and Vendors alike to resolve queries in a timely manner
- Ensure all ad hoc duties are completed efficiently
- Any issues / errors are reported to management immediately
- Ability to work on your own initiative and also work as part of a team
- Ability to adhere and work to tight deadlines
- Complying with reporting and policies within the department
- As part of finance team the job will include other general accounting duties as appropriate
- Responsible and accountable for your ledger - Knowledge of the exact state of play with your section of your ledger at any point in time
Education & Experience:
- Minimum 1 years’ experience in a accounts payable role
- Experience with Microsoft Package, particularly Excel, Word etc.
