Dornan are currently recruiting a Learning & Development Manager to work in our Head Office in Little Island, Cork.

 

Reporting to the HR Director, the L&D Manager will work closely with the business to design and implement the L&D framework for the workforce and to ensure overall consistency with training and talent management. 

 

Role and Responsibilities:

*         Working closely with Senior Management and HR Business partners to align L&D programmes with the organisation’s objectives and the employee’s personal goals

*         Develop and implement the company’s L&D Strategy, in partnership with Senior Management

*         Develop induction programmes, new hire orientations, and identify opportunities to improve the employee experience

*         Conduct training gap analysis with managers, make recommendations based on this, and develop and deliver your own training programmes

*         Provide strategic coaching support to the leadership team

*         Identify opportunities to improve performance management and succession planning practices, identifying clear career and progression paths for employees

*         Administration of the Learning Management System. Ensuring employee onboarding, training courses and reports are all maintained and processed to the highest level.

*         Negotiate and engage with external training providers to purchase training material or course packages

*         Responsible for defining, developing, and reporting L&D Key Performance Indicators and metrics

 

Qualifications Required:

*         Degree in L&D, HR or related discipline

 

Experience Required:

*         Minimum of 5 years in a dedicated L&D role with experience developing and delivering L&D   strategy, coupled with a strong HR background

*         Experience in coaching is essential

*         Experience with LMS and L&D Software

*         Strong commercial and business acumen

*         Proven skills in programme facilitation and design for both classroom and e-learning
