Reporting to Construction Manager, organising and coordinating all project materials and equipment. Ensuring all work will be completed on budget, on time, and in accordance with all applicable plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards.

Roles and responsibilities:
- Supervising and coordinating the construction activities of various subcontractors, foreman and chargehands.
- Ensuring works are complete in line with timelines to meet the construction schedule for the project.
- Taking responsibility for health and safety on site and leading by example, including arrangement of high risk activity permits and method statements.
- Organising the required labour, machinery, equipment and materials required to complete the construction works.
- Ensuring construction is carried out accurately, following plans and specifications.
- Conducting quality control inspections on project sites.
- Ensuring that tasks are completed on time and to the required quality standards.
- Analysing and quickly resolving any work problems and may arise and ensuring that all deficiencies on any given project are corrected in a timely manner.
- Training employees and ensuring apprentices are provided with relevant work experience
- Maintaining detailed and accurate site reports.
- Communicating project progress to key stakeholders, clients, architects and engineers to Dornan management and General Contractor.
- Close liaison with the engineering team to ensure all work is carried out in accordance with the latest relevant information.
- All other reasonable tasks assigned to you from time to time from your manager.
- Record-keeping of trades locations and activities on a weekly basis.
- Measuring progress of installation using relevant software packages.
Overview of knowledge required:
- Detailed knowledge of the supervisor role, and experience of leading teams of 10+ trades
- Technical understanding of HVAC systems and experience of installation
- Technical understanding of pipework systems (process water, drainage, CWS, HWS, refrigerant, sprinkler) and experience of installation
- Ability to read Mechanical layout drawings and schematics
- Commercial understanding and awareness
- Experience of working with stringent Health, Safety and Environmental systems
- Proficient in the use of the following software: Microsoft Office, Navisworks
