Dornan are currently recruiting for a Purchasing Administrator. The successful candidate will join our busy procurement team in our Head Office in Little Island.

 

Dornan are a leading Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation contractor with projects in Ireland, Mainland Europe, the Nordics and the UK. Dornan are involved in projects across many sectors such as Pharmaceutical, Data Centre, Healthcare, Education, Commercial, and Power Generation.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Compiling purchasing proposals for tenders and evaluate against contract award
  • Taking purchasing requests from sites via email and telephone
  • Sourcing new vendors, using existing vendors and evaluating quotes
  • Purchasing of all types of equipment including mechanical/electrical, instrumentation and miscellaneous materials
  • Raising orders and expediting all orders
  • Dealing with queries from both site and vendors directly
  • Dealing with invoice queries 

Experience/Skills Required:

  • 2-3 years’ experience in a busy administrative role
  • Purchasing, procurement or accounts experience would be an advantage
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office 365 suite
