Dornan are currently recruiting for Quality QA/QC Walkdown Technician to work on site on one of our projects in Cork. This role is offered on a 6 month fixed term contract.

 

Dornan are a leading Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation contractor with projects in Ireland, Europe and the UK. Dornan are involved in projects across many sectors such as Pharmaceutical, Power, Waste to Energy, Commercial, Data Centre and Petrochemical.

Quality Walkdown Technicianroles and responsibilities are to deliver:

  • Perform routine inspections of the quality of E&I installation

  • Owner of snagging the installation both on scheduled walkdowns and surveillances/observations

  • Critique Dornan’s E&I installation to ensure the clients walkdown is a snag free exercise

  • Deliver First of a kind process and sign off

  • Document Control of Construction Drawings, Schedules and Specifications.

  • Partake in Quality Surveillance Programme

  • Compilation of Electrical & Instrumentation turnover packs, and ensuring accuracy of those packs before client handover

  • Completion and Control As Built of installation drawings and cable schedules for allocated scope

  • Review and check of all vendor/subcontractor documentation

  • Preparing reports for management on quality issues

Quality Walkdown Technicianwill have the following qualifications:

  • Trade Qualified or 3rd Level E&I Qualification

Quality Walkdown Technicianwill have the following experience:

  • Previous electrical and instrumentation quality control experience

  • Experienced with electrical and instrumentation turnover systems and aware of system boundaries

  • Ability to read and understand electrical technical drawings, specifications , regulations, codes and other materials relevant to the project.

  • Have strong PC competency (Microsoft Office)

  • Understand the requirements of QAQC handover on a pharma installation project.

  • Be a team player, adaptable and practical.

  • Have a strong attention to detail and integrity.

  • Be driven to succeed and be willing to learn and in doing so support others in the team.
