Dornan are recruiting for a Quality Walkdown Technician to work within our hyperscale Data Centre.
Dornan are a leading Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation contractor with projects in Ireland, Europe and the UK. Dornan are involved in projects across many sectors such as Pharmaceutical, Power, Waste to Energy, Commercial, Data Centre and Petrochemical.

Reporting to the Project Manager, QA Owner of allocated Turnover scope to take from construction completion through Testing, inspecting and handover. Representing Dornan at System/Area Turnover and Walkdowns.
As a Quality member of the team, the Quality Walkdown Technician will be an exemplar ambassador for the company and its values; integrity, dependability, safety, pride, quality.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections of the quality of installation.
- Owner of snagging the installation both on scheduled walkdowns and surveillances/observations.
- Critique Dornan’s installation to ensure the clients walkdown is a snag free exercise.
- Deliver First of a kind process and sign off.
- Document Control of Construction Drawings, Schedules and Specifications.
- Partake in Quality Surveillance Programme.
- Compilation of turnover packs.
- Completion and Control As Built of installation drawings and cable schedules for allocated scope.
- All other reasonable tasks assigned to you from time to time from your manager.
Experience and Skills Required:
- Detailed knowledge of the Quality Walkdown Technician.
- Health, Safety and Environmental system.
- Knowledge of the teams strengths and weaknesses.
- Tagging of systems.
